Motion Activated Light
Motion activated light is a 9V DC battery operated module, which senses any movement in its viewing area, and the light is turned on, if insufficient light (natural or artificial) levels are detected in the area where the module is placed. Thus, contributing to a longer lasting battery power.
Ideally, since this module is battery operated and needs no plugs to operate, it can be placed in any (remote) areas where there is not enough light and/or where the light switches are not available; it can be used in closets, stairways, rear or front doorways, basements or garages, etc.
The module is equipped with infrared and light sensor, as well, thus it detects the movement of people but also illumination levels i.e., if sufficient light (artificial or natural) levels are present when the movement is detected it remains off, hence conserving the battery power. Note: 9V battery is not included.
Modules are offered in two different colors (white and blue).
The operating temperature range of the module is between 0 to 50 °C. This module is made from PLA (polylactic acid) material, which is produced from the renewable resources; it has reduced carbon footprint compared to the fossil based plastic materials, and is intended for use in indoor environments and/or away from the direct sunlight and temperatures above 50 °C. User is advised to check the battery operating temperature range (if acceptable) prior to using it in the module.
Recommendations:
Although any 9V DC battery would work to power the module, it is recommended to use a rechargeable 9V battery, which can be reused many times, for many years, contributing in savings and sustainability of our environment, as well.
